On Tuesday, Apple released a couple of new upgrades and even a new device, the iPad Mini. With the biggest release being in fact the iPad Mini, we should say the second star (or at least the thinnest) one at the announcement was the iMac. With a couple of subtle improvements to the Mac Mini and the MacBook Pro, the event went off as expected for many of us. Make sure to mark your calendars on October 23rd! Apple's October Media Event will be held in San Jose, California to reveal some new fancy gadgets for us geeks.
It's widely speculated to introduce the iPad Mini as the main product of this event. It's funny because a while back, Steve Jobs mentioned that there would be no point to adopt this smaller form factor that the iPad Mini is expected to have. The 7.85 inch display will most likely be the screen size. It's a step down fro the iPad and a step up from the current iPod Touch/iPhone. Obviously, it should feature the new lightning dock connector....

In Apple's quarterly conference call today, Tim Cook announced that Mountain Lion will be released tomorrow on the Mac App Store for the low price of $19.99. Mountain Lion offers enhanced functions and capabilities to Apple's laptop and desktop hardware, including the iMac, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air. The $19.99 price point is also significantly lower than previous iterations of OS X updates. The Mountain Lion release date will be July 25, 2012.

When you walk into an Apple store, aside from the numerous iPads and iPhones that line the tables, there are also Macs that are available for potential buyers to enjoy. Away from these gadgets, there is a place for kids to enjoy Macs where games are preset for them to relish. However, this picture of a typical Apple store will change just a bit. Now, many Apple stores are beginning to replace the Macs in the children’s section with iPad devices.
As we know, Apple has always had the children’s section in their stores since its start. However, they have been relatively unchanged since 2001....
