Posted by: Tim Toda    Tags:  iMac, iPad, Macbook Pro, SD    Posted date:  October 20, 2012  |  No comment

Make sure to mark your calendars on October 23rd! Apple's October Media Event will be held in San Jose, California to reveal some new fancy gadgets for us geeks. It's widely speculated to introduce the iPad Mini as the main product of this event. It's funny because a while back, Steve Jobs mentioned that there would be no point to adopt this smaller form factor that the iPad Mini is expected to have. The 7.85 inch display will most likely be the screen size. It's a step down fro the iPad and a step up from the current iPod Touch/iPhone. Obviously, it should feature the new lightning dock connector....

Earlier this year, Twelve South introduced the HoverBar, a new accessory which allows you to use your iPad as a secondary display, or even a simple cookbook for your kitchen! For those you don't know what Twelve South is, they are a company solely that design accessories for Apple products. Their design and engineering is very unique and is apple-esque, which makes them an awesome company. Anyway, we're here to talk about the HoverBar right? The HoverBar is a very simple accessory that comes with just a clamp, arm, and the cradle to hold your iPad in. The clamp itself is actually pretty...

To say that I'm excited about tomorrow's announcement would be a bit of an understatement. I have my Apple hoodie from The Company Store ready to be worn tomorrow, on what The Wall Street Journal calls "Apple Day". However, what is all of the excitement all about. Yes, there's a new iPhone to be announced, we have known that for months now, however, what else does Apple have under their sleeves this time around. The rumors have been tried and tested, and here are the highly likely expectations we will see out of tomorrow's event. Let us know which one you're most excited for. (more...)

Tim Cook: One Year as CEO

Posted by: Tim Toda    Tags:  CEO, iPad, Retina Macbook Pro, Tim Cook    Posted date:  August 24, 2012  |  No comment

Has it really been that long? Exactly a year ago today, Steve Jobs stepped down from his position of CEO of Apple and made Tim Cook his successor. As many would expect, the Apple's stock value dropped almost immediately after the announcement. The crazy thing is, today, Apple has evolved into what is the most valuable publicly-traded company. Ever. Yes. From what was $351 a year ago, today, it is now $668. That is a growth of more than 75%. With Tim Cook in charge, he has released the iPhone 4S, the Retina Macbook Pro, Mountain Lion, and the 3rd generation iPad along with record breaking quarters...

Posted by: Emmanuel Banks    Tags:  apple, G-mail, Gmail, Google, Google Mail, iOS, iPad, iPhone, Mac, Mail, OS X, Sparrow    Posted date:  July 22, 2012  |  No comment

// // On Friday, we received news that Sparrow will be joining up with Google, offering a mail client that better incorporates many of Google's services, while still retaining the same Sparrow team. This comes almost 17 months after Sparrow became available. With this merger, this means that Sparrow won't have a team that focuses wholeheartedly on the product. As a result, Google will work more toward retaining the current Sparrow product, without offering up new and amazing features. For any of you out there hoping for a new feature or two to come out of Sparrow, you'll be disappointed....

I'm about to go on a flight in a couple of weeks, and as many of you know, I have been on the search for some good ways to catch my attention during flight. Movies sometimes help, but in the end, I find myself with four movies rented from iTunes, and only watching half of one. While this article won't be fully focused on apps and will mention movies, I will find many other ways on how your iPad can be a great way to keep your attention during a long flight, especially when compared to your other Apple devices. How to: Speed Up Your Apple Devices

Posted by: Emmanuel Banks    Tags:  apple, How-to, Improve, iPad, iPhone, Mac, Macintosh, Speed up, tips    Posted date:  July 18, 2012  |  No comment

Last week, I had to check my Mac in because of an issue with my power block. However, after a quick checkup, it turned out that my Mac also needed a new battery, screen, keyboard, trackpad, and backing. After an afternoon without my Mac and $549 worth of upgrades, my Mac was fresh and new. However, this made me think of ways that our readers can improve their Macs - the speed at least - without having to spend anything. Also, there are tons more people who don't have Macs but may have iPads, iPhones, and more with iPod Touch devices. Today, we will take a look at ways you can speed up your i-Devices...

Video: Apple Smart Case vs. Smart Cover

Posted by: Erphan Al-Delgir    Tags:  Featured, iPad, Smart Cover    Posted date:  July 12, 2012  |  No comment

Apple released the very popular Smart Cover, side by side with the iPad 2. Being a wonderful accessory to keep your iPad 2's beautiful screen protected - the Smart Cover undoubtedly became one of the most popular accessories for the iPad 2. Fast forward to the New iPad (often incorrectly called the iPad 3) and the Smart Cover's legitimacy as a top iPad accessory was still second to few others. The Leather and Polyurethane iPad display covers definitely complimented the iPad well. Then came WWDC 2012. While not nearly as exciting to the likes of Mountain Lion or the Retina MacBook Pro - the iPad...

Apple iPad Mini In The Works

Posted by: Emmanuel Banks    Tags:  apple, cheap iPad, iOS, iPad, ipad 2, iPhone, mini, the new iPad    Posted date:  July 5, 2012  |  No comment

There are new reports that Apple is currently in the process of cranking out a new iPad. This new iPad won't come with any new striking features, there will be no HD front facing cameras or the ability to call or anything. It will be the same iPad, in a smaller form factor. However, the other part of this that makes it so alluring is the cheaper price that comes with this. A cheaper iPad, while smaller, is expected to be what some call, "a rival's nightmare". One hand up that many rivals had was a cheaper device, even as we look at Window's new tablet. However, with a tablet that could be priced...

Hey there Mobile Warrior! We know it's difficult to find the right charger for your iPhone or iPad on the road - like actually while you're on the road. Although there's a plethora of chargers for iPhones (and the MicroUSB chargers for all the other smartphones), it is difficult to find the right car charger for the iPad. But when looking for a new car charger, you won't find one quite as stylish as the TYLT "BAND". Reminiscent of an SATA cable that you would find inside a desktop PC, the TYLT "BAND" features the same type of ;flexible ribbon cable. Lacking the standard ordeal on our usual...
