Conspiracy theories galore! With one of Mountain Lion's coolest features being AirPlay functionality on Macs, many excited customers downloaded Mountain Lion expecting to connect their Mac to their external display wirelessly, via their WiFi connection and 2nd/3rd generation AppleTV.
However, Apple is only making this available to certain Macs. Only Macs released in 2011 or later have the ability to stream movies and videos to their AppleTV sets via AirPlay.
Customers started calling foul within hours of OS X Mountain Lion's release on the Mac App Store on July 25th. The general...

Where is OS X Mountain Lion Stored on Hard Drive? Where does the Mac App Store download Mountain Lion?
There's a lot of confusion related to where OS X Mountain Lion is stored on your Hard Drive after it is downloaded from the Mac App Store.
The Mac App Store treats the OS X Mountain Lion Installer as a Application. Therefore, you can always find it in your Applications file.
But it's not there!
If you already downloaded Mountain Lion and installed it then the installer automatically deleted itself at the end of the installation. Apple likely did this in order to preserve space on your...
We recently had a reader ask us. "Can my Mac use Airplay?" and thought that many of you may be wondering the same thing.
One of the coolest features of Mountain Lion is the fact that certain Macs can now utilize AirPlay to wirelessly "project" what's on your display to your Apple TV. This is actually pretty nice because it reduces the headache of having to find a MiniDP to HDMI adapter to connect your Mac to a TV.
Unfortunately, not all Macs running Mountain Lion will be able to use this cool new function.
We decided to do a little digging and found this from Apple's website.
AirPlay...
Mountain Lion was released on Wednesday through the App Store. The software, which was highly anticipated for months now, has been reviewed downloaded and dissected. While we were disappointed in the fact that Mountain Lion wasn't as great as we had thought, in the end we did not see it as bad software anyway. One thing about Mountain Lion that we really enjoyed was how integrated iOS apps were. It was obvious how Apple felt it was important to incorporate many of these apps into Mountain lion. So today we'll take a look at Mountain lion, we will see how the downloading experience was, how the user...
With the imminence of the cloud and the ability to just download Mountain Lion from the Mac App Store at any time - at first, there seems to be no use for this little trick. However, when your hard drive has failed or you need to do a quick reinstall of your operating system, you may not have ready access to the internet. Even if you do have access to the internet only 2011 (and newer) Macs have the ability to download OS X (Mountain) Lion directly from the Mac App Store without a fully functioning operating system.
Having the Mountain Lion on a USB Flash Drive (or a partition on a hard drive)...

OS X Lion was released just over a year ago on July 20, 2011. OS X Lion was released exclusive to the Mac App Store for $29.99 but customers...
Over the weekend, a lot of updates have occurred in terms of the revamped iCloud post-Mobile Me and finally a rumored date for Mountain Lion's release. First off, with iCloud, we have updates about iCloud now allowing @icloud.com emails. For developers who have iOS 6.3 Beta, you should be able to create an iCloud.com email that works as well with your @me.com email. For example, if you have the email AppleFreak@Me.com, you will automatically also receive mail from AppleFreak@iCloud.com.
This comes after Apple discontinued Mobile Me at the end of June, now moving toward an iCloud takeover. We reviewed...
Apple is implementing iCloud into many features found in both iOS 6 and Mountain Lion. However, iCloud.com unveiled some add-ons in the beta version available today. Two additions to iCloud.com is Notes and Reminders. Notes currently can be accessed in the Mail version, in a special folder. However, with the beta version, Notes has it's own app. The Notes icon allows you to add your own notes in a UI very similar to what we see in iOS. Reminders was added in the same fashion as its iOS counterpart. Aside from Reminders and Notes, Find My iPhone has an improvement as well. Find My iPhone with...
As we know from WWDC, Apple announced that Mountain Lion will make its debut in July. With July being two weeks away, Apple sent out a notice to their retail workers on Thursday, welcoming them to take a look at Mountain Lion before it becomes public in July. The preview, known as a "software seeding project" in the notice, comes with some directions for the workers to follow. What differs this from some form of employee training is that the employees are able to take advantage of the preview on their own Mac computers from home. It's considered more of an employee opportunity rather than a mandatory...
