Coming as an inevitable progression, Tiny Wings is finally available as a native iPad App! The original, hit iPhone App went through the roof in sales and popularity but there wasn’t yet an iPad app – until just a few days ago.

The breakthrough iPhone app now uses the wonderful screen real estate of the New iPad and provides a number of features over its iPhone companion.

In retrospect, the theme and audio selections on Tiny Wings HD reminds me of Yoshi’s Island from the GameBoy Advance and Nintendo DS. With a similarly innocent theme and plot line – there are some distinct similarities that make Tiny Wings as great a game as Yoshi’s Island.

Released only on July 12, 2012 – Tiny Wings HD already has a smashing 1,620 reviews on the App Store with a 5 star average. Going through some of the reviews, iPad owners only have nice things to say about the newly released game. Take a look at some excerpts from App Store Reviews:

“…And I’m not a worker for this app either I just think its great..
That might’ve sound suspicious but it’s true this apps great”
- swisa10

“I’ve wanted a retina version of tiny wings for my iPhone forever and now not only is there an update that does that but an iPad app too, I love it! Your achievements from the iPhone version sync to this app too as well as multipliers….”  - Professor Fessor

One minor thing to note, however, is that Tiny Wings HD is not a universal app. This means that the same version does not work between the iPhone and iPad. This is likely due to the fact that the iPhone app costs $0.99 whereas the Tiny Wings HD for the iPad costs $2.99. The developer does, however, give users the option to synchronize their scores between their iPhone App and iPad App – in order to keep track of their scores.
