We are finally nearing the time when the new iPhone will be released. This is one of the new iPhone devices to have a fall release. The only other iPhone to do this is iPhone 4S. This changes what we are normally used to, which is a summer June/July release of the past. Since we didn't hear anything about the iPhone at WWDC, this has made iPhone rumors go more rampant since then. However, there a few factors of the new iPhone that we know now that may not entice many new adopters as much as with the iPhone 4S, and even the 4. Today we will take a look at what we are a bit certain about seeing,...

Where to find OS X Mountain Lion Stored on your Hard Drive

Posted by: Erphan Al-Delgir    Tags:  Mac App Store, Mountain Lion, OS X    Posted date:  July 29, 2012  |  No comment

Where is OS X Mountain Lion Stored on Hard Drive? Where does the Mac App Store download Mountain Lion? There's a lot of confusion related to where OS X Mountain Lion is stored on your Hard Drive after it is downloaded from the Mac App Store. The Mac App Store treats the OS X Mountain Lion Installer as a Application. Therefore, you can always find it in your Applications file. But it's not there!  If you already downloaded Mountain Lion and installed it then the installer automatically deleted itself at the end of the installation. Apple likely did this in order to preserve space on your...

Mountain Lion was released on Wednesday through the App Store. The software, which was highly anticipated for months now, has been reviewed downloaded and dissected. While we were disappointed in the fact that Mountain Lion wasn't as great as we had thought, in the end we did not see it as bad software anyway.  One thing about Mountain Lion that we really enjoyed was how integrated iOS apps were. It was obvious how Apple felt it was important to incorporate many of these apps into Mountain lion. So today we'll take a look at Mountain lion, we will see how the downloading experience was, how the user...

Building OS X Mountain Lion on a USB Flash Drive

Posted by: Erphan Al-Delgir    Tags:  Featured, Mac App Store, Mountain Lion    Posted date:  July 25, 2012  |  No comment

With the imminence of the cloud and the ability to just download Mountain Lion from the Mac App Store at any time - at first, there seems to be no use for this little trick. However, when your hard drive has failed or you need to do a quick reinstall of your operating system, you may not have ready access to the internet. Even if you do have access to the internet only 2011 (and newer) Macs have the ability to download OS X (Mountain) Lion directly from the Mac App Store without a fully functioning operating system. Having the Mountain Lion on a USB Flash Drive (or a partition on a hard drive)...

I'm about to go on a flight in a couple of weeks, and as many of you know, I have been on the search for some good ways to catch my attention during flight. Movies sometimes help, but in the end, I find myself with four movies rented from iTunes, and only watching half of one. Last week, I had to check my Mac in because of an issue with my power block. However, after a quick checkup, it turned out that my Mac also needed a new battery, screen, keyboard, trackpad, and backing. After an afternoon without my Mac and $549 worth of upgrades, my Mac was fresh and new. However, this made me think of ways that our readers can improve their Macs - the speed at least - without having to spend anything. Also, there are tons more people who don't have Macs but may have iPads, iPhones, and more with iPod Touch devices. Today, we will take a look at ways you can speed up your i-Devices...

Posted by: Emmanuel Banks    Tags:  apple, beta, iCloud, iOS 6, Mountain Lion, Notes, Reminders, Worldwide Developers Conference, WWDC    Posted date:  July 3, 2012  |  One Comment

Apple is implementing iCloud into many features found in both iOS 6 and Mountain Lion. However, iCloud.com unveiled some add-ons in the beta version available today. Two additions to iCloud.com is Notes and Reminders. Notes currently can be accessed in the Mail version, in a special folder. However, with the beta version, Notes has it's own app. The Notes icon allows you to add your own notes in a UI very similar to what we see in iOS. Reminders was added in the same fashion as its iOS counterpart. Aside from Reminders and Notes, Find My iPhone has an improvement as well. Find My iPhone with...
